Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Sheet
Advance Steel helps our customers guard against corrosion with our hot dipped galvanized steel sheet products ranging from .012 - .063” in size.
To begin the hot dip galvanizing process, the steel is immersed in a bath of molten zinc. After, the pure zinc reacts with oxygen to form a zinc oxide. A further reaction with carbon dioxide creates a zinc carbonate. This dull gray, relatively strong coating protects the material from weathering, abrasion and rusting.
Hot dipped galvanized steel sheet functions well in applications throughout a variety of industries in which parts are exposed to corrosive chemicals and harsh conditions. These industries include: construction, automotive, agriculture, military and defense, transportation and manufacturing.
